Meet the 2016 Tri-Chapter Meeting keynote speakers:
A self-described info-fetishist, Anne-Marie Dietering, MLS is the Franklin A. McEdward Professor for Undergraduate Learning Initiatives at Oregon State University. Her research focuses on in-depth, qualitative investigations of student research behavior and she is increasingly fascinated by the interplay between the affective and cognitive dimensions of learning. She will present Keynote 1 on Monday, September 26th at 9:30am.
Dr. David Kaelber is a practicing internist and pediatrician and the Chief Medical Informatics Officer at the MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH. He is an expert in the use of electronic health records and a proponent of using data to improve healthcare. He was recently named one of the nation’s top clinical informationists by Modern Healthcare. Dr. Kaelber will present Keynote 2 on Tuesday, September 27th at 9am.
The conference will also feature panels on timely topics to help you understand and adapt to rapid changes. Monday’s invited panel “Diversity matters: Equality and inclusion in healthcare” will discuss providing culturally competent care for diverse patrons. Tuesday’s panel “In sickness and in health: Is healthcare ready to commit to open data?“ will weigh how the movement for open data can be both beneficial and detrimental to patients and to healthcare.
Sunday’s CE courses offer a variety of topics including data visualization, genealogical research, “doctor speak” for librarians and more!
