Take advantage of the lower registration fees for both the meeting itself and the CE courses by mailing in your registration form prior to October 1st.

Remember, you must print out and mail in your registration form for this conference. The form and payment needs to be received by Saturday October 1, 2011. Registrations received on Monday October 3, 2011 will still be honored at the early-bird rate; but there will be no extensions. Print and mail yours today!

Hotel rooms are also filling up fast; book yours before October 7 to ensure you get the conference rate.

We have a great line-up of courses this year covering a broad spectrum of topics. The courses are geared to provide us with the skills and management/leadership tools to deal with the constantly changing landscape and the pressure to demonstrate the relevancy of our libraries. Note that several were offered at the 2011 MLA Annual Meeting and received excellent evaluations.

Sunday morning classes include:

 * EBM: Introduction to Study Design and Critical Appraisal (Connie Schardt)
 * Cancer Concepts and Search Techniques (Jeannine Gluck)

Then Sunday afternoon the classes include:

 * Developing an Effective Strategic Plan for your Library (Cindy Sullivan)
 * Behind Closed Doors: Politics in the Library (Barbara Jones & Marty Magee)
 * CME Resources and Technical Know-How: The Librarian’s Role (Hongjie Wang)

For more details about the courses, check out the CE page here:
