Just a reminder that the “early bird” deadline is fast approaching! Don’t miss out on taking advantage of the lower registration fees for both the meeting itself and the courses by mailing in your registration form prior to October 1st.
We have a great line-up of courses this year covering a broad spectrum of topics. The courses are geared to provide us with the skills and management/leadership tools to deal with the constantly changing landscape and the pressure to demonstrate the relevancy of our libraries. Note that several were offered at the 2011 MLA Annual Meeting and received excellent evaluations.
Sunday morning classes include:
* EBM: Introduction to Study Design and Critical Appraisal (Connie Schardt)
* Cancer Concepts and Search Techniques (Jeannine Gluck)
Then Sunday afternoon the classes include:
* Developing an Effective Strategic Plan for your Library (Cindy Sullivan)
* Behind Closed Doors: Politics in the Library (Barbara Jones & Marty Magee)
* CME Resources and Technical Know-How: The Librarian’s Role (Hongjie Wang)
