[mla-nynj] Last call for Chapter board nominations

With the recent thread about current officers and committee chairs I do believe it to be a propitious moment for me to remind everyone that the Nominating Committee of the NY-NJ Chapter of MLA is now accepting nominations for the following positions for 2008-2009:

1 Chair-elect
1 Secretary
1 Treasurer-elect
2 Board members
2 Nominating Committee members
1 Nominee to the MLA Nominating Committee (this is for 2010)

All Chapter members are encouraged to submit the names of members they feel would be the best candidates for these positions. Send your nominations t to me, Joanne Jahr <jbjahr at yahoo.com>. The deadline for receiving nominations remains Friday, August 29th. Information about the duties of the positions can be found in Article V of the the Chapter Bylaws at <http://www.nynjmla.org/bylaws.html>.
