LIBRARIAN-TALBOT RESEARCH LIBRARY 

FULL TIME


 

TALBOT RESEARCH LIBRARY seeks full-time, creative, entry-level or early
career librarian for active, service-oriented information center serving
the research, clinical and administrative staff of Fox Chase Cancer
Center. The librarian will be involved in many of the library's core
operations. Specific responsibilities include: reference service, user
education, online searching, cataloging, archives assistance, web page
maintenance, and support for the integrated library system.



Master's in Library Science from an American Library
Association-accredited program. Experience in a library setting,
preferably biomedical or academic. Strong service orientation and
excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to
interact well with library users and staff. Preferred : Experience with
literature searching skills, especially MEDLINE. A background in
scientific online and print resources, knowledge of webpage management,
cataloging, digital resources, and integrated library systems.
Experience with user instruction ,strong presentation skills, and an
ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Understanding
of emerging information technologies and willingness to keep up with the
rapidly changing library environment. New MLS graduates welcome.
