The next meeting of METRO's Consumer Health Information Special Interest
Group (CHI SIG) will be on:

 

 Wed., July  23 from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  at S.I.B.L. (the Science,
Industry and Business Library)( directions
<http://www.nypl.org/research/hours/sibldir.cfm> ).

 

Note: S.I.B.L. opens precisely at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays.

 

Our main topic of discussion with be the N.O.A.H. (New York Online Access to
Health / <http://www.noah-health.org/>  Accessa Compterizado de la Salud en
Nueva York) consumer health web site.   Patricia Gallagher (CHI SIG member,

New York Academy of Medicine librarian, and NOAH content committee chair and
managing editor) will give us an overview of the site, its history and an
inside look at the editorial process.  

 

Anyone who works with consumer health information in the Metro area would
benefit from learning more about this essential bi-lingual health
information resource.

 

We will conclude our meeting with a 30-minute guided tour of S.I.B.L.
