[mla-nynj] Chapter Council Roundtable Scholarships

Just one more day til the deadline for applications for the NY-NJ Chapter's deadline for Scholarship applications for the Chapter Sharing Roundtables at MLA.  Information is below. All applications MUST be in by April 15th.

The New York-New Jersey Chapter is pleased to announce the availability of 4 paid seats to the Chapter Council Roundtables at this year's MLA meeting in Chicago.  In order to be reimbursed for your attendance at the Roundtables, four individuals will be selected from a lottery, based on the following criteria:

1. Each award would be to someone attending different table sessions

2.  Awardee MUST submit a 500 word report to the Newsletter editor, to be published in the Newsletter of the activities at their Roundtable session; reimbursement will not be issued UNTIL after the Newsletter article is submitted and approved.  This report is due by June 15th, 2008.

3. Awardees must be current members of the NY-NJ Chapter of MLA

We request that members whose Home institution will fund their participation in the Roundtables not apply.

Applications must be received by close of business on April 15th, 2008.  Reports must be submitted to the Newsletter editors by June 15th, 2008.  To apply please fill out the information below and send to Patricia Gallagher (pgallagher at nyam.org).
