Quick reminder to those of you considering applying for a Sewell stipend to defray costs of attending the American Public Health Association annual meeting in Washington, D.C. November 3-7: 
 
Application deadline is less than a week away -- Monday 7/30/07.
 
The Grace and Harold Sewell Memorial Fund, Inc. offers stipends to librarians and other information professionals to reimburse a portion of the membership, registration, travel and other per diem expenses involved in attending this APHA meeting. 
 
Successful applicants from the Washington, D.C. metro area will receive a stipend of $650. Successful applicants from outside the Washington, D.C. metro area will receive $1000. Please remember that these amounts will NOT cover all costs so attendees will need to find additional monies to cover remaining costs.
 
Completed applications are due July 30, 2007--less than a week away. To apply, download the Word application form at http://depts.washington.edu/hswork/mla/stipend/mla-crc-call-2007.doc . Send the completed application form and additional materials as a SINGLE EMAIL ATTACHMENT to either Joey Nicholson (jnicholson at nyam.org) or Nancy Schaefer (NancyS at library.health.ufl.edu).
