On July 25th, Arcadia University, Glenside, Pa., will present a one-day
workshop for new medical librarians on "The Business of Medicine".

It will provide an overview of how healthcare facilities operate as well as
how our American healthcare system is structured and how it functions.
Issues to be covered include: What is the role of the Medical Librarian and
how do we promote ourselves and our services; how do hospitals make money;
why is consumer healthcare education becoming so important; and what are the
major ethical issues related to health care.  

Fee before July 15 is $85 for librarians and $45 for students. After July 15
the fee is $119 for librarians and $60 for students.
